"As every season seems best to us in its turn, so the coming of spring is like the creation of the Cosmos out of Chaos and the realization of the Golden Age." Henry David Thoreau Today I found several dozen blooms of the very first foothills wildflower of the season - Spring-Beauty - gracing the forest floor amongst dried needles in a Ponderosa Pine woodland! How wonderful it is to find the first flowers of the season, for they elicit a sense of hope, brightness and a wide-open future!
